Here is an old cabinet card photograph of a distinguished gentleman that was taken sometime before 1915. The following is written on the back:
"O. Wilson Kimball"
Cabinet card photographs were thin photos that were pasted onto pieces of cardboard. They derived their name from the customary practice that people, at the time, had of displaying these photographs on cabinets in the front parlors of their homes.
